Joining IFC has given me my ‘mojo’ back! I had been an avid runner for many years.
But, I was beginning to lose the excitement for the sport, not enjoying my runs and
having a really hard time getting out the door. I knew that I needed to change my fitness
Ten months ago, when I joined IFC, I was taken aback by my lack of overall body
strength and balance. In addition, my body fat percentage and lean muscle mass were
definitely not where I wanted them to me. I joined as a VIP member and worked out 4 –
5 times a week. It was hard! I was sore! But, eventually, the soreness faded and I
started seeing results. I have lost more than 5% body fat and I have gained lean muscle
mass. I am very excited about how my clothes are fitting. I am stronger and my form is
drastically better when exercising!
However, more importantly, I enjoy getting my morning workouts in at IFC. My eating
habits are so much better than they were 10 months ago. Angela and her staff hold me
accountable with what I eat and also getting the workouts done, which I still do 4 – 5
times per week. I found it is ok to ‘cheat’ with food occasionally; I don’t deprive myself
too much. But, part of the process is to learn about eating right and now it is a ‘habit’ to
buy the good foods that will keep me going throughout the day.
Many members at IFC have achieved awesome results. I am amazed at how strong and
fit the longtime members are. They are my inspiration to keep working hard. Angela and
her staff work with all of us, regardless of our fitness level. For that, I am so
As 2016 starts, I will be keeping up with my workouts at IFC and continuing to do better
at eating the right foods. I also have some running goals that I am very excited about.
So, thank you IFC for helping me to get the ‘mojo’ back!
