Hello! My name Is Michelle Tobias. I am honored to have been selected IFC’s February member of the month. Actually, I’m pretty excited.
I have spent the last 30 years of my weight fluctuating up and down. And when I was up, I was up!
After knee surgery in 2013, I once again gained about 40 pounds in what seemed like the blink of an eye. I had zero motivation, I was always tired and sluggish, my clothes were tight, and the thought of allowing myself to go up another size was just not going to be an option for me.
I came to IFC after seeing a blurb about it on social media. I was at a point in my life where I had felt I needed something more than the Planet Fitness, Charter Fitness places. Exercising at those places wasn’t enjoyable. In all actuality, it was pretty boring. Even having a “buddy” didn’t help. And what happens when you get bored?? You don’t go.
I began my journey at IFC 6 months ago. I signed up for the Meltdown program, and began my classes a week later. I have not looked back. At IFC, I have learned to eat much healthier than I was. I learned I feel tremendously better eating clean versus eating that Big Mac. I like the fact that we have our assessments every month. It holds me accountable for my actions. I now enjoy exercising. I go to class 3 days per week, and I absolutely love going. I like that our classes are never the same, and I like that I am challenged with every class.
After I met with Coach Angela at my first initial meeting, she said “Welcome to the Family!” And she was right! IFC is family. The comraderie at IFC is tremendous. The support received from other members, even when that person is leaving class, and you are coming in, is awesome. The continuous education received from the coaches is amazing.
Thank you IFC team for always motivating me. Thank you to my husband and children for the continuous support. I am looking forward to my continued journey.
