I heard about Angela through a random comment from a coworker. That comment came at a time when I was finally willing to make a commitment to become healthier and exercise on a regular basis. I had been through a stressful period in my life. As a Chief Nursing Officer in the Michiana area I was working 60-70 hours week and just “didn’t have time to exercise”. My husband and I made the decision to move back to Northwest Indiana area to be near family….this resulted in major life changes, selling our house ( a 2 year event), moving, new job, health issues of family members that I needed to be the caregiver, going back to school for a doctoral degree amongst many. Finally in spring of 2014 I was able to achieve a work/life balance that I hadn’t had in years. I no longer could muster up any excuses for not getting healthier.
I was so glad to see a totally different approach. I decided I was not going to let age stand in my way. I was the oldest person in my doctoral cohort and I am sure I am one of the oldest if not the oldest member.
I enjoy the variety and the challenges of each different personal training program brings. I can honestly say I never get bored. I enjoy all the members and appreciate how each of us is on a journey. I have had significant changes in my body fat percentage, loss of inches, and overall strength. So even though I have modifications to many of the exercises, I have come a long way.
I feel so much healthier, body, mind, and spirit. I have a lot of energy and have 2 gorgeous tow-headed grandsons, ages 2 and almost 4 that keep me hopping, with a 3rd grandbaby on the way. Joining has been life changing!
